Steve Thompson - CEO SRB Education Solutions and SchoolLogic

Mr. Thompson as CEO of SRB Education solutions became a member of the SchoolLogic executive team when the company was acquired by SRB Education Solutions in 2010. He brings over 30 years of related experience including senior management, technology leadership, product management and marketing roles in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining SRB, between 1988 and 2000, Mr. Thompson held the positions of General Manager, Information Technology for the Toronto District School Board and Director of IT with the City of Vaughan & Vaughan Hydro. His earlier experience also included software engineering and marketing roles with the federal government and Gandalf Technologies Inc.

Mr. Thompson holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa and an honours degree in Political Science and Economics from the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario. He is a Certified Information Systems Professional and has served as chair of the Ontario Association of School Business Officials IT Committee and President of the Municipal Information Systems Association.

Michael Sarabdial - CFO SRB Education Solutions and SchoolLogic

Mr. Sarabdial became a member of the SchoolLogic executive team when the company was acquired by SRB Education Solutions in 2010.  He brings over 10 years of related experience the private and public sectors. Prior to joining SRB, Mr. Sarabdial held the position of CFO for a publicly traded Company in Toronto, numerous privately held companies in the GTA and North Carolina.

Mr. Sarabdial graduated from an Accounting and Finance program and holds a CGA designation.

Jeff Dyck - General Manager, SchoolLogic

Mr. Dyck’s appointment in July 2010 as the General Manager for SchoolLogic leverages his proven leadership skills.  Prior to accepting his new responsibilities, Mr. Dyck worked in another SRB division as Vice-President ERP Products, comprised of the former TSC Software.  His direct experience in K-12 began when he joined TSC Software as a programmer in 1999.  After becoming the President and CEO of TSC Software in 2001, he began to build customer loyalty through the adoption of best practices, consistent customer care and the modernization of the software.  In 2007, he successfully negotiated the merger and managed the integration of TSC software into SRB Education Solutions Inc.

Mr. Dyck has been active in software and IT since 1987.  He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with Academic Distinction in 1993.  Consistently recognized for exceeding goals in employee, customer and financial satisfaction, he and his team received StarDyne’s Triple Bottom Line award for the last three years running.

Cathy Welch - Vice President Human Resources, SRB Education Solutions and SchoolLogic

Ms. Welch became a member of the SchoolLogic executive team when the company was acquired by SRB Education Solutions in 2010, having previously joined SRB Education Solutions with the acquisition of TSC Software in 2007 where she served as Human Resources Manager. In 2008 she was promoted to Vice-President of Human Resources for SRB Education Solutions, a member of the StarDyne Technologies group of companies.  In her current role Ms. Welch is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to all aspects of human resources, including organizational development, talent management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.

Ms. Welch has over than 10 years’ experience in human resource management. Prior to her current position with SRB,  she served as an independent Human Resource Management/Coach Consultant.  In a preceding career, Ms. Welch possess 20 years’ experience in Executive Health Care Management where she managed free standing medical clinics and organized multi-specialty physician groups.

Ms. Welch holds a Master’s Degree (MHCA) in Health Care Administration and a B.Sc. in Business Administration; Ms. Welch holds designations as a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP). Ms. Welch is an active member of British Columbia Human Resource Management Association (BCHRMA) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF). A  native of California, Ms. Welch has made Canada her home over the last 13 years.

Lindsay Wagner - Vice President of Services, SchoolLogic

Ms. Wagner joined SchoolLogic in December 2010 as Vice President of Services through a transition from SRB Education Solutions ERP division (formerly TSC Software). Coming onboard with TSC in 2005 as Solutions Consultant, Ms. Wagner worked with school boards to streamline workflows, processes, and procedures in their Finance, HR, and Payroll systems. Consistently exceeding targets and working to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, Ms. Wagner was part of the team that received StarDyne’s Triple Bottom Line award for the past three consecutive years.

Ms. Wagner brings to her tenure with the SRB organization K-12 experience from her former role as Business Services Coordinator for Holy Spirit Catholic Schools in Lethbridge, Alberta. Along with the responsibility for Payroll and Accounts departments, Ms. Wagner oversaw implementation of all new business software for both central office and all schools.

Ms. Wagner’s 15 years managerial experience includes a move to British Columbia in the late 90’s that provided the opportunity to serve as the Communications and Services Coordinator for Theatre BC, and then a project management role for Falcon Software, Inc. before returning to Alberta to work for Holy Spirit Catholic Schools. Ms. Wagner holds an MBA in Executive Management from the University of Athabasca, as well as an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Waterloo.

Ross Dickie - Vice President of Sales and Marketing, SchoolLogic

Mr. Dickie joined SchoolLogic in July 2010 as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, leveraging his proven leadership skills and over 29 years of experience in sales and marketing.  Mr. Dickie’s direct experience in K-12 began with Bridges Transitions as a product manager in 2000.  After 3 years as Vice President of Marketing with Bridges, Mr. Dickie spent an additional 3 years as Vice President of Sales with Xap Corporation whom acquired Bridges in 2007.

Prior to his work with Bridges and Xap Corporation, Mr. Dickie was a director and Managing Partner with Northern Computer Inc. from 1982 until June 2000.

Mr. Dickie studied computer science before pursuing a business career in the emerging computer industry.  He was runner-up for the Kelowna B.C. Chamber of Commerce/Business Development Bank entrepreneur of the year award in 1994 and was selected as an under 30 Canadian Achiever in 1991 as part of a Dick Drew’s nation-wide achievement recognition program.  In 1999 Mr. Dickie spent time as an advisor for VentureTech an International solutions Integrator network.
