SchoolLogic Updates PASI project

SchoolLogic continuing progress towards PASI readiness, 06 February 2012

SchoolLogic (formerly Management Information Group – MIG) is reporting on their progress on their PASI readiness project, a joint project with Alberta Education and Lethbridge Public School District 51.  SchoolLogic (MIG) has been delivering continuous development and support of our programs enabling our clients to successfully submit Alberta government reporting for over 20 years.  SchoolLogic is continuing that level of development and support with the PASI project.

Steps toward PASI Compliance

SchoolLogic (MIG) was scheduled to start the User Acceptance Testing portion of the PASI project with Lethbridge District 51 at the end of January.  Recently our PASI team did a full scheduled walk through of our PASI project. After review, it was determined that this step 4 of the project will require more time than we originally scheduled as a result, we have decided to push back our timeline by 5 weeks, which includes an additional two weeks for Quality Assurance testing.

In the internal PASI review we discovered that because we broadened our functionality in the reconciliation process the result was that it was going to take longer than expected to complete step 4.  However we are very happy to report that our business objects are talking to the PASI core and our method of handling the reconciliation process for returning messages from the PASI core is going to work well.

While we strive to meet our scheduled timelines, our most important goal is providing the best PASI enabled SIS in Alberta.  We are certain that the time extension will greatly benefit our development / QA process, which will help our user acceptance testing with Lethbridge 51 and ultimately all of our clients in Alberta.

We remain confident and committed to providing a PASI solution to our Alberta client base.  We look forward to our UAT with Lethbridge 51.  If any district or schools has concerns, please contact us at SchoolLogic and we would be happy to answer any of your questions.
