Our Technology and Design Philosophy

SchoolLogic has one of the most comprehensive feature sets of any SMS available today, yet you can easily navigate to enter, track and manage all essential district and student data.  With the SchoolLogic’s User defined Forms, users efficiently personalize views and enter data streamlined for optimal workflow.  With hundreds of reports and thousands of pages, features and functions. In order to serve all stakeholders in Student Success: students, Parents, teachers and administrators, SchoolLogic has continued to evolve over the 34 years to take advantage of new technologies.

To ensure student data security and system integrity our solutions separate data, Business Logic and Presentation into separate layers.  Built on open standards technologies, we use SQL 2008 R2 as our relational database server helping us to achieve fast, efficient and scalable solutions that are highly accessible via ODBC.  Our VB.net Business Objects are compiled into separate dlls and those Business Objects are then engaged through ASP.net on Microsoft IIS server in order to create html pages in the presentation Layer.  We use CSS style sheets to control the output format.  The communication between the user is back and forth via html while the user can also output to print, html, pdf, word, excel, csv and other formats for reporting.  We allow for connections to SQL via SIF and various data exchanges. It is always our objective to be transparent and put the data in the hands of the people who need it.
